MUKHTAR, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): The petitioner in the petition he filed in the Election Petition Tribunal holden at Abeokuta, Ogun State claimed as follows:
1.The election result for Adigbe Polling Station be declared null and void as a result of irregularities.
2.The votes cast at Adigbe Polling Station for Chairmanship Election of 15th March, 1997 be declared irregular, null and void that the Ballot papers counted for chairmanship candidates were out of proportion to those counted for councillorship candidates.
3.The petitioner Simeon Adekunle Oni be dully declared chairman elect of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area based on the regular votes duly cast at the Local Government Chairmanship Election of 15th March, 1997.
4.The petitioner Simeon Adekunle Oni be sworn in as the duly elected chairman of the Obafemi-Owode Local Government.
