UWANI MUSA ABBA AJI, J.S.C. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): One Chimaobi Odoh of Amamaduwike in Okigwe Local Government Area reported at Okigwe Area Command Police Station that a group of armed men with guns and matchets invaded her residence at Amamaduwike and robbed her of the sum of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira), two phones and went away with her baby, Chinedu Odoh, aged one year and four months. That the hoodlums came with two motorcycles and after the incident, they headed towards Owerri/Okigwe Road with her child. At the time of the incident, one of her neighbours, a bus driver, Mr. Ifeanyi Emmanuel, returned with his bus and when he was told of the incident, he used his bus to pursue the hoodlums up to Ezelu junction, where the hoodlums fell from their motorcycles and ran into the bush, abandoning their motorcycles and guns. The guns were recovered by the vigilante and police.
