RULING

The 1^st plaintiff/applicant and the other plaintiffs herein issued out a writ of summons on 13^th March, 2009 against 1^st and 2^nd defendants for the following reliefs:

a) Declaration that the acts and omissions of defendants regarding their employees constitute severance of employment

b) Payment of one (1) month basic pay in lieu of at least one month notice of legal severance

c) Payment of compensation referred to as “Redundancy Pay” the liability of which the defendants have evaded or fraudulently avoided.

d) General damages for and remedy of the forced labour condition in the first defendant company

e) General damages for victimization against the 1^st plaintiff.

The writ together with the accompanying statement of claim was served on the two defendants on 16^th March, 2009.
