RULING

The Applicants herein issued out writ of summons accompanied by a statement of claim against Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Board on 10th February, 2010 for the following reliefs:-

(a) An order compelling the Defendant to pay the Plaintiffs their salaries which have been withheld since October, 2009.

(b) An order compelling the Defendant to lift the indefinite suspension placed on the Plaintiffs since the suspension is without any legal basis.

(c) An order compelling the Defendant to pay the Plaintiffs their salary arrears for the periods ranging from 6 to 18 months as the case may be.

(d) The Defendant, be ordered to redeploy the Plaintiffs to other Units/Departments of the Defendant.

(e) In the alternative the Defendant should declare all the Plaintiffs redundant in its hospital and pay them all the salaries, salaries in arrears and severance package in accordance with law except the 11th to 17th Plaintiffs who may be referred to the Ghana Health Service and the Controller and Accounta…
