BADA, JCA (DELIVERING THE LEADING JUDGMENT): This is an Appeal against the Judgment of the High Court of Justice of the Federal Capital Territory sitting in Abuja in Suit No. CV/1704/2006: Chidi Onwuekweikpe and The Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission, delivered on 5th day of December 2006.
The Respondent instituted an action at the lower Court under the Undefended List Procedure claiming against the Appellant the following reliefs:-
"(1) The sum of ₦1,000,000.00 being outstanding professional/terminal bill for the Legal services rendered by the Plaintiff to the Defendant by representing and appearing for the Defendant at the High Court in Suit No. FHC/CS/348/2001 - Ajibola Johnson and 10 Others v. Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission and 2 Others.
(2) 10% Court interest rate on the Judgment.
(3) The cost of the action.
