MOHAMMED BABA IDRIS, J.S.C. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto Judicial Division, delivered on the 11th day of April, 2022, in Appeal No. CA/S/23C/2020 coram Ali Abubakar Babandi Gumel, JCA; Audu Tanko Hussaini, JCA; and Mohammed Danjuma, JCA, wherein the court below upheld the judgment of the Sokoto State High Court, which was delivered on the 23rd day of April, 2019, convicting the appellant of the offenses of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and armed robbery and consequently sentencing him to death by hanging.
