NSOFOR JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): The claims of the respondents qua plaintiffs, endorsed on the writ of summons issued from the Ikole High Court of Ekiti State of Nigeria, and repeated in paragraph 18 of the statement of claim read:-

Declaration that in view of the Ondo State Chief Edicts No. 11 of 1984 now applicable in Ekiti State, the 1st and 2nd defendants cannot be installed as the Ogbolu of Idofin Quarter, Oye-Ekiti and Olofa Irona of Irona Quarter, Oye-Ekiti respectively without approval of their appointments by their Prescribed Authority, the Oloye of Oye-Ekiti.
