JUDGMENT: 

The parties to this Petition were married on 15th August 2008, at the St. Peters Catholic Church Osu, Accra under the Marriages Act 1884 – 1985 (CAP 127).  The Petitioner filed this Petition against the Respondent on the ground that  the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation. By the said Petition, she  seeks the following reliefs: 

i. Dissolution of the marriage 

ii. A declaration that the house located at Abokobi belongs to Petitioner and that Respondent holds same in trust for the Petitioner and for Respondent to surrender all documents in relation to the said  property to Petitioner. 

iii. That the Saturn 4x4 vehicle is jointly owned by the Petitioner and  Respondent or in the alternative Respondent should refund the sum  of US$ 9,000 to the Petitioner. 

iv. Custody of the only child of the marriage who is currently three (3) years old and attending school in Dubai.

v. Payment of maintenance of the child 

vi. Payment of alimony or in the alternative lump sum payment.
