JUDGMENT
1.0. BACKGROUND
1.1. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th defendants were the elected executive members of the plaintiff Trade Union local branch at the University for Development Studies (UDS). The 2nd to the 5th defendants and other members of the plaintiff rebelled against the plaintiff and purportedly formed another Trade Union called Tertiary Education Workers Union UDS Campus. (The 6th defendant herein).
1.2. The 2nd to 5th defendants failed/refused to pay the plaintiff share of the dues that were deducted by the 1st defendant and the cheque given to the 2nd to 5th defendants as local chapter of the plaintiff representatives. This is the genesis of this litigation.
2.0. THE WRIT OF SUMMONS
2.1. The plaintiff obviously not happy with the conduct of the defendants instituted an action on 5th June 2023 at the Commercial High Court seeking for the following reliefs against the defendants jointly and severally:
