JUMMAI HANNATU SANKEY, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an Appeal which arose out of a financial dispute between the Respondent as Plaintiff and the Appellants as Defendants before the lower Court. The Respondent is a business woman, while the 1st Appellant is the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer and alter ego of the 2nd Appellant. The 2nd Appellant is a limited liability Company which carries on business as Finance Managers, Project Financiers and pawn Brokers. The brief facts of the case are that, following a certain financial transaction/contract between the parties wherein the Respondent placed certain sums of money at different times with the Appellants for a specific time on monthly interest rates, the Appellants defaulted in returning the principal sums and paying the interest rates agreed upon.
