ABUBAKAR DATTI YAHAYA, JCA (Delivering the leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the Judgement of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja delivered on 7th February, 2014 by Hon. Justice C. N. Orji.
The appellants were the plaintiffs at the lower court and commenced this suit vide a Writ of Summons filed on the 24th of August, 2009 wherein they sought the following reliefs:
A declaration that the plaintiffs are entitled to the outright purchase of the Federal Government House situate at rooms 3 and 4, T.A Quarters Bauchi Crescent, old Life Camp Gwarinpa District, Abuja which the plaintiffs are in possession currently from the 2nd respondent.
An order directing the 2nd respondent to issue forthwith a letter of offer to the plaintiffs in respect of the Federal Government house situate and lying at No. 17 T.A Quarters Bauchi Crescent, old Life Camp Gwarinpa District, Abuja for outright purchase by the appellants having indicated interest to purchase same as provided in …
