AMAIZU, JCA (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of Tsoho, J., of the Federal High Court, sitting at the Ilorin A division of the court. The judgment was delivered on the 7th day of May, 2001. The facts leading to this appeal as can be gleaned from the pleadings and the record of proceedings are as follows: The plaintiff, a professor was on the 17th August, 1994, appointed the Director of the Institute of Education of the University of Ilorin (herein after referred to as the Institute), for a period of three years.
