IBRAHIM WAKILI JAURO, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This is an appeal against the ruling of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja presided over by Hon. Justice Y. Halilu in suit No FCT/HC/CV/2018/18 delivered on the 4th day of April, 2019.
BRIEF FACTS OF THE CASE
The Appellant (Claimant) before the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja commenced an action under the undefended list procedure against the Respondent (Defendant) vide a writ of summons dated 13th June, 2018 claiming as follows:
i. An order directing the defendant to pay the sum of N25,215,258.07(twenty-five million, two hundred and fifteen thousand two hundred and fifty-eight Naira, seven kobo) to the claimant being the money owed by the defendant to the claimant being payment of the outstanding advert debts.
ii. An order directing the defendant to pay the claimant 10% post-judgment interest on the judgment sum till the date of judgment same is fully and finally paid.
