BIOBELE ABRAHAM GEORGEWILL, J.C.A. (Delivering the Lead Judgment): This is an appeal against the judgment of the High Court of Oyo State, Ibadan Division, Coram: S. A. Akinteye J, in Suit No. I/357/2006: Saminu Olanrewaju Oyedapomola V. Wema Bank Plc & Anor delivered on 30/6/2014, in which the Claims of the 1st Respondent as Claimant against the Appellant and 2nd Respondent as Defendants was granted.
The Appellant was peeved with the said judgment and had appealed against it vide his Notice of Appeal filed on 2/7/2014 on three Grounds of Appeal. See pp 179 - 181 of the Record of Appeal. The Record of Appeal was compiled and transmitted to this Court on 5/11/2014 and deemed and properly transmitted on 20/3/2024. The Parties filed and exchanged their briefs, namely: The Appellant’s brief and the 1st Respondent’s brief. The 2nd Respondent did not file any brief.
