JUDGMENT

ARYENE (MRS.), J.

Plaintiff sued Defendant for the reliefs endorsed on the Writ of Summons. Defendant who  was served with the Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim by Substituted Service defaulted in  entering appearance and on application this Court granted Interlocutory Judgment in favour of  Plaintiff and adjourned for Assessment of Damages.  

Plaintiff’s testimony is that on 7th September 2012, while she was crossing the road at the  Airport by-pass. Defendant, owner and driver of a Hyundai Accent Taxi cab with registration no.  GW 6224-12 knocked her down injuring her. She was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where  she was on admission for two weeks and discharged to continue with the treatment as an out patient. According to Plaintiff, she spent GH₵3,000.00 on medical treatment, x-rays, drugs and  transportation to and from the hospital.
