ITA GEORGE MBABA, J.C.A. (Delivering the Leading Judgment): This appeal is against the decision of Jigawa State High Court in Charge No. JDU/1C/2010, delivered on 27th December, 2011 by Hon. Justice Abubakar M. Sambo, whereof his Lordship convicted the Appellant and sentenced him to life imprisonment for offence of Criminal Conspiracy and Robbery, pursuant to Sections 97 and 298 of the Penal Code, and to 5 years imprisonment for illegal possession of Firearms, the sentences to take effect consecutively.
At the trial Court, Appellant was charged together with 2 other accused persons, as follows:
