AN ACT to facilitate the control of tsetse fly and to provide for related matters.

1. Powers of officers authorised for purposes of control of tsetse fly

(1)A public officer whose duties include measures for the control of tsetse fly and who is authorised by the Minister responsible for Agriculture for the purposes of this Act, is empowered to go on a land to carry out a survey and to do or cause to be done the things necessary for effecting the control of tsetse fly, including the felling and burning of trees and bushes which in the opinion of the public officer encourage the breeding of tsetse flies.

(2)Reasonable notice of the intention to exercise the powers made in subsection (1) in respect of land shall be given to the owner or occupier of the land.
