AN ACT to amend the law relating to official publications and to amend section 13 of the Statutory Instruments Act, 1959.

1. Short title

We no longer use the format of having a short title as a separate section or subsection. See the Acts of Parliament Act, 1960 (C.A. 7), and subsection (2) of section 5 of the Interpretation Act, 1960 (Act C.A. 4).

2. Substitute for Gazette publication

(1)The publication by the Government Printer of an Act, an instrument, a notice or any other document otherwise than in the Gazette shall, if notice of the publication is given in the Gazette, have the like effect for the purposes of an Act requiring publication in the Gazette or otherwise referring to that publication as if the document had been published in the Gazette on the date on which notice of the publication was given in th…
