AN ACT to provide for the raising and maintenance of the Army Navy and Air Force of Ghana, for matters connected therewith and for the repeal of certain enactments relating to the existing forces and other defence matters.WHEREAS by Article 53 of the Constitution it is provided that no armed force shall be raised except under the authority of an Act of Parliament:AND WHEREAS by Article 8 of the Constitution it is also provided that the President shall be Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces:AND WHEREAS by Articl 54 of the Constitution it is further provided that the powers of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shall include the power to commission persons as officers in the said Forces and to order any of the said Forces to engage in operations for the d…
