AN ACT to provide for a National Development Planning System, define and regulate planning procedure and provide for related matters.BE IT ENACTED BY PARLIAMENT AS FOLLOWS:

1. Decentralized development planning system

(1)The National Development Planning Commission established by the National Development Planning Commission Act, 1994, (Act 479) and referred to as “the Commission” shall be the national co-ordinating body of the decentralized national development planning system.

(2)The decentralized national development planning system shall comprise District Planning Authorities as the district level, Regional Co-ordinating Councils at the regional level and sector agencies, Ministries and the Commission at the national level.
