AN ACT to establish a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, in place of the Vehicle, Examination and Licensing Division of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, with the object of promoting good driving standards and ensuring safety of vehicles on roads and to provide for related mattersBE IT ENACTED by Parliament as follows -

Part I – ESTABLISHMENT AND FUNCTIONS OF THE DRIVER AND VEHICLE LICENCING AUHORITY

1. Establishment of the Authority

(1)There is established by this Act a body corporate to be known as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority in this Act referred to as “the Authority”
(2)The Authority shall have perpetual succession and a common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.
