AN ACT to establish the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT), Tarkwa and to provide for related matters.

The University

1. Establishment Of The University Of Mines And Technology

(1)There is hereby established by this Act a University of Mines and Technology, Tarkwa referred to in this Act as the "University".
(2)The University shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession, a common seal and may sue and be sued in its own name.

2. Acquisition Of Property

(1)The Council may acquire and hold any movable or immovable property, sell, lease, mortgage or otherwise dispose of the property.
(2)Where the Council decides and the Government agrees that for the purpose of this Act, an acquisition of property or right over land iā€¦
