AN ACT to repeal the Ghana National Commission on Children Decree, 1979 (AFRCD 66) and to provide for related matters.

1. Repeal of AFRCD 66

(1)The Ghana National Commission on Children Decree, 1979 (AFRCD 66) is repealed by this Act.

(2)The Ghana National Commission on Children is now converted to a Department of the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs.

2. Transitional and savings provisions

(1)Despite the repeal of AFRCD 66, the assets and liabilities in respect of the properties vested in the Ghana National Commission on Children under the Ghana National Commission on Children Decree, 1979 (AFRCD 66) immediately before the repeal of the Decree and the persons employed by the Commission shall be transferred to the Ministry of W…
