AN ACT to amend the Customs and Excise (Duties and Other Taxes) Act, 1996 (Act

1. Fifth Schedule to Act 512 amended

The Customs and Excise (Duties and Other Taxes) Act, 1996 (Act 512) as amended is further amended by the substitution for item No.5 of the Fifth Schedule as inserted by the Customs and Excise (Duties and Other Taxes) (Amendment) Act 1998 (Act 545) to the Schedule to this Act.

2. Abolition of ad valorem excise duty

The ad valorem excise duty of 15% on petroleum products is hereby abolished.
