AN ACT to revise the law relating to insurance in order to provide comprehensive provisions for the regulation of the insurance industry and for related matters.ENACTED by the President and Parliament

National Insurance Commission

1. Establishment of the National Insurance Commission

There is established by this Act, the National Insurance Commission.

(2)The Commission is a body corporate with perpetual succession and Common seal and may sue and be sued in its corporate name.

(3)The Commission may for the performance of its functions acquire any movable and immovable property and may enter into any contract or other transaction.
