AN ACT to revise and consolidate the law relating to the operation, construction and interpretation of enactments and for related matters.ENACTED by the President and Parliament

Interpretation

1. Meaning of certain expressions

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires,"Act" means an Act of Parliament;"assent" means the assent of the President under article 1 07 of the Constitution;"common law" has the meaning assigned to it by article 11 of the Constitution;"Constitution" means the Constitution of the Republic;"Court" means a court of competent jurisdiction;"constitutional instrument" means an instrument made pursuant to a power conferred in that behalf by the Constitution;"enact" includes …
