Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003

The one thousand, nine hundred and ninety-fourth

Act

of the parliament of the republic of ghana

In exercise of the powers conferred on the President by 24 of the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658), these Regulations are made this 4th day of April, 2011.

(1)The Agency shall cause to be published standards and guidelines for internal auditing.

(2)The standards and guidelines shall contain benchmarks for establishing

(a)the quality of performance of internal audit work withiin Ministries and Assemblies;

(b)qualification and competence of internal audit staff, and

(c)reporting requirements.

(3)The standards and guidelines shall cover the following areas:

(a)general principles relating to the planning and conduct of internal audit;

(b)field work of internal auditors; and

(c)internal audit reporting and follow up.
