IN exercise of the power Conferred on the Minister responsible for the registration of births and deaths by sections 4 and 40 of the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1965 (Act 301) (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") these Regulations are made this 2nd day of June, 1970.

1. Country Divided Into Registration Regions and Districts.

(1)For purpose of the registration of births and deaths, Ghana shall be divided into the following registration regions:—

(a)Greater Accra Region;

(b)Eastern Region;

(c)Western Region;

(d)Volta Region;

(e)Central Region;

(f)Ashanti Region;
