IN exercise of the powers conferred on the National Redemption Council by section 37 (1) of the Police Service Act, 1970 (Act 350) and after consultation with the Police Council and the Executive Council, these Regulations are made this 29th day of April, 1974.

Part I – STRUCTURE OF THE SERVICE

1. Posts and Ranks

(1)There shall be within the Police Service the posts and ranks specified in the First and Second Schedules.
(2)The numbers constituting each post and rank shall be as shown in the appropriate approved establishment set out in the Annual Estimates.
