WHEREAS the Volta Regional House of Chiefs has advised that traditional councils shall be created for the following areas of the Volta Region:NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Commissioner responsible for Chieftaincy Affairs by section 62 of the Chieftaincy Act, 1971 (Act 370) this Instrument is made this 19th day of July, 1977.

1. Establishment of Traditional Councils.

There are hereby established traditional councils for the following traditional areas:—

(a)Krachi;

(b)Tapa;

(c)Likpe;

(d)Santrokofi;

(e)Anfoega;

(f)Gbi;

(g)Nkonya;

(h)Ve; and

(i)Awudome.

2. Commencement.
