IN exercise of the power conferred on the Minister responsible for the Environment by paragraph (c) of section 43 of the Environmental Protection Act, 2025 (Act 1124) and in consultation with the Board of the Environmental Protection Authority, these Regulations are made this 23rd day of June, 2025.

Preliminary Provisions

1. Purpose of Regulations

The purpose of these Regulations is to improve air quality in the country by

(a)ensuring compliance with

(i)fenceline air quality,

(ii)ambient air quality, and

(iii)point source or stack emission limits

specified in the Ghana Standard for Environment and Health Protection Requirements for Ambient Air Quality and Point Source or Stack Emissions (GS 1236);
