AN ACT to provide for the appointment to public officers of the Social Security Act, 1991 (P.N.D.C.L. 247) and for related matters.

1. Extension of Social Security Act, 1965

(1)Despite anything to the contrary, the Social Security Act, 1965 (Act 279), shall be deemed to have applied to all persons in the public service in respect of service rendered after the 31st day of December, 1971.

(2)Without prejudice to the generality of subsection (1), in respect of that service, the terms “employer” and “worker”, as defined by section 30 of the Social Security Act, 1965 (Act 279), shall, with effect from the 1st day of January, 1972 be deemed to have included respectively, the …
