AN ACT to provide for the seizure of the Osu Stool Property and for related matters.

“WHEREAS the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs has decided that the nomination, election and installation of NII NORTEI OWUO III (alias JONATHAN, as Osu Manste was void:AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the Osu Stool Property should be preserved pending the nomination, election and installation of a new Osu Mantse.”

1. Seizure of Osu Stool Property

Despite the Chieftaincy Act, 1971 (Act 370) or any other enactment to the contrary, the City Manager, Accra, is hereby ordered to take possession of the Osu Stool Property forthwith from Nii Nortei Owuo III or the person for the time being in possession of that property.
