AN ACT to provide pensions to members of the Prisons Service and for related matters.

1. Disapplication of S.M.C.D. 8 to Prisons Service

On the coming into force of this Act, the provisions of the Pensions and Social Security (Amendment) Decree, 1975 (S.M.C.D. 8), other than those provisions relating to the Pensions Actxxx, shall cease to be to members of the Prisons Service and a member of the Prisons Service who before the commencement of this Act is required by virtue of the Pensions and Social Security (Amendment) Decree, 1975 (S.M.C.D. 8) to contribute towards the pension or to the social security fund as a member of that fund shall on the coming into force of this Act cease to make contribution…
