Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Decree, 1978

BE IT ENACTED by the Supreme Military Council as follows-

1. N.R.C.D. 292 amended

The Hire Purchase Decree, 1974 (N.R.C.D. 292) is hereby amended by the insertion immediately after subsection (2) of section 25 thereof of the following new subsections-"(3) The Commissioner responsible for Finance may, with the approval of the Supreme Military Council by legislative instrument disapply all or any of the provisions of this Decree to any organization or body if it appear to him in the public interest so to do.(4) For the avoidance of doubts, an instrument made under subsection (3) of this section may be made with retrospective effect up to the commencement of this Decree or any later date and any instrument so made shall operate in respect of all hire-purchase or conditional sale agree…
