Part I – – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Nurses and Midwives Act.

2. Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—"approved institution" means an institution for the training of persons seeking registration or enrolment under this Act and which has been declared by notice in the Gazette to be so approved by the Cabinet Secretary on the recommendation of the Council;"Cabinet Secretary” means the person for the time being responsible for matters re…
