An Act of Parliament to establish the Kenya Airports Authority, to provide for the powers and functions of the Authority and for connected purposes

Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Kenya Airports Authority Act.

2. Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—“aerodrome” means a defined area including any buildings, installations and equipment intended to be used either wholly or in part for the arrival, departure and surface movement of aircraft;“Aerodrome Department” means the Government Department responsible for planning, design, maintenance and operation of aerodromes in Kenya existing immediately prior to the coming into operation of this Act;“air navigation services” means—(a)communication services, whether ground to air or ground to ground, provi…
