1. Short title
This Act may be cited as the Microfinance Act, 2006.2. Interpretation
In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—“agency” means—(a)an institution’s place of business operated within premises or structure owned or occupied by a third party by means of an agreement between the institution and the third party in the provision of deposit-taking microfinance business; or(b)an entity contracted by an institution and approved by the Central Bank, or sub-contracted by such entity to provide services of the institution on behalf of the institution, in such manner as may be prescribed by the Central Bank;“associate”—(a)in relation to a natural person, means any …Read the Full Legislation on judy.legal
