AN ACT of Parliament to provide for the training, registration, licensing, practice and standards of counsellors and psychologists and for connected purposes[Act No. 14 of 2014, Act No. 5 of 2019.]

Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Counsellors and Psychologists Act, 2014.

2. Interpretation

(1)In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires-"Board" means the Counsellors and Psychologists Board established under section 3;"Cabinet Secretary" means the Cabinet Secretary for the time being responsible for matters relating to health;"Council" means the Council of the Society provided for in section 19;"practicum" means an ongoing, supervised and organized practical experience or internship prescribed as part of the qualifications for the award of any degree or diploma and obtained …
