AN ACT of Parliament to provide for the establishment of special economic zones; the promotion and facilitation of global and local investors; the development and management of enabling environment for such investments, and for connected purposes.

Part I – PRELIMINARY

1. Short title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the Special Economic Zones Act, 2015 and shall come into operation upon the expiry of ninety days from the date of its publication.

2. Interpretation

In this Act, unless the context otherwise requires—"agricultural zone" means a special economic zone declared as such under section 4 to facilitate the agricultural sector, its services and associated activities;"Authority" means the Special Economic Zones Authority established under section 10;"Board" means the Board of Directors of the Aut…
