1. Citation and commencement

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Data Protection (Registration of Data Controllers and Data Processors) Regulations.

(2)The provisions of these Regulations shall come into effect six months from the date of publication.

2. Interpretation

In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires—“Act” means the Data Protection Act (Cap. 411C);“Data Commissioner” means the person appointed under section 6 of the Act;“data controller” has the meaning assigned to it under the Act;“data processor” has the meaning assigned to it under the Act;“register” has the meaning assigned to it under the Act;“Office” has the…
