1. These Rules may be cited as the Public Health (Medical Officers of Health and Health Inspectors) Rules, 1963.2. In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires—“health inspector” means any health inspector or sanitary inspector appointed by a local authority and includes any chief health inspector, senior health inspector, health inspector or public health inspector appointed by the Director of Medical Services to act as such in any district;“medical officer of health” includes a deputy medical officer of health.3.
