World Meteorological Organisation Protection Act, 1960

An Act to make provision for the prevention of abuse of the official seal, emblem and name of the World Meteorological Organisation.

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the World Meteorological Organisation (Protection) Act.

2. Improper use of W.M.O. official seal, emblem and name prohibited

It shall not be lawful for any person, without the authority of the Minister charged with responsibility for trade marks, to use for any purpose whatsoever any of the following, that is to say-
(a)the design in the Schedule which is the official seal and emblem of the World Meteorological Organisation; or
(b)the designation "World Meteorological Organisation" or any abbreviation of that designation.
