AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE COUNCIL OF NIGERIA, REPEAL THE INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNOLOGY, ACT CAP. I14 LAWS OF THE FEDERATION OF NIGERIA 2004, AND FOR RELATED MATTERSENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria -

1. Repeal of Cap 114 LFN 2004

The Institute of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology Act is repealed.

2. Establishment of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria

(1)There is established a body to be known as the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (in this Act referred to as “the Council”) to of the regulate the practice of Medical Laboratory Science.
