AN ACT TO ENABLE EFFECT TO BE GIVEN IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA TO THE UNITED NATIONS CONVENTION ON THE CARRIAGE OF GOODS BY SEA;AND FOR RELATED MATTERSWHEREAS a Convention entitled the "United Nations Convention on Carriage of Goods by Sea" has been duly adopted by divers states at Hamburg in March 1978 and the Federal Republic of Nigeria is desirous of adhering to the said Convention;AND WHEREAS the Federal Republic of Nigeria has ratified the Convention on Carriage of Goods by Sea;AND WHEREAS it is necessary and expedient to make legislative provision for the enforcement in the Federal Republic of Nigeria of the United Nations Conventions on Carriage of Goods by Sea;Now THEREFORE IT…
