AN TO REPEAL THE DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION ACT 1988 AND TO ENACT THE NIGERIA DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION ACT 2006 ; AND FOR RELATED MATTERSENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria—

Part 1 – ESTABLISHMENT AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CORPORATION

1. Establishment of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation

(1)There is established a body to be known as the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (in this Act referred to as "the Corporation"')

(2)The Corporation

(o)shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal ;

(b)may sue or be sued in its corporate name and
