AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A NATIONAL IDENTITY DATA BASE AND THE NATIONAL IDENTITY MANAGEMENT COMMISSION-CHARGE WITH THE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE NATIONAL DATABASE,THE REGlSTRATION OF INDVIDUALS, AND THE ISSUANCE OF GENERAL MULTIPURPOSE IDENTITY CARPS; AND RELATED MATTERS

1. Establishment of National Identity management Commission

(1)There is hereby established a body to be known as the National Identity Management Commission (in this Act referred to as "the Commission").

(2)The Commission-

(a)shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal; and

(b)may sue and be sued in its corporate name;

(3)The Commission may hold, acquire and dispose of any property or interest in property, moveable or immovable for the purpose of its function…
