An Act to further amend the Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act No. 11, 1993 by increasing the retirement age for academic staff in the professional cadre and non-academic staff and for related matters.
ENACTED by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria:

1. Amendment of Act No. 11, 1993

The Universities (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act No. 11, 1993 (in this Act referred to as the "Principal Act") is amended as set out in this Act.

2. Amendment of Section 5

Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended by"
(a)in subsections 3(a) line 1, by substituting for the word "period" the words "single term"; and
(b)substituting for subsection (4), a new subsection "(4)":
