An Act to amend the Hydro-Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (Establishment, Etc) Act, No. 7, 2013 to, among other things, expand the membership of representations of the communities affected by the activities of hydro-electric power producers; and for related matters.

1. Amendment of Act No. 7. 2010

The Hydro-Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (Establishment, Etc) Act No. 7, 2010 (in this Act referred to as the "Principal Act") is amended as set out in this Act.

2. Amendment of section 3

Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended-

(a)in subsection (1) by substituting for paragraph (b), a new paragraph "(b)" -

"(b) one person each who shall be from the affected communities to represent-

(i)Benue,

(ii)Kebbi,

(iii)Kogi,

(iv)Kwara,

(v)Niger,

(vi)Plateau, and

(vii)any other State…
