An Act to Establish the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment of Cancer Patients in Nigeria ; and for Related Matters.Enacted by the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria :

1. Establishment of the National Institution for Cancer Research and Treatment and its functions.

(1)There is established the National Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment (in this Act referred to as "the Institute).

(2)The Institute

(a)shall be a body corporate with perpetual succession and a common seal; and

(b)may sue and be sued in its corporate name.

(3)The Institute shall

(a)provide national leadership in cancer research, control and treatment;

(b)guide scientific improvements to cancer prevention, treatment and care ;
